VDR antomagically use the right mode with mplayer.sh and DVD, for
satelite watching I don't know as I have only access to pal one.
In xawtv, it works also perfectly as I use it every day.

If you have an old dvb-kernel (not DVB HEAD) then it don't work: just
take a new one ;-)
