Well, I don't know any DVD's which give amplifiers as bonus.

Yes, it appears that OT is important thing for vdr,
unfortunately there is quite a lot of OT flying around,
like mp3, mplayer and stuff which have nothing whatso ever
to do with VDR or Digital TV.
If you guys wanna do home-theater do it somewhere else.
