[vdr] No OSD using dxr3 plugin

Hello list!

As the subject suggests I can't get any menu to appear on the TV output. 
Recording and playing live tv using vdr works perfectly and I can change 
the channel using vdradmin from another computer, but the OSD was the 
main reason I got myself a dxr3!
Can someone think of a reason for this?

VGA->video in cable is plugged in. Using latest CVS of DVB, ffmpeg, 
em8300 as well as vdr-1.2.1.
Hardware is a shuttle SS40G ( 
http://us.shuttle.com/specs_access.asp?pro_id=286 ) - the two pci slots 
are filled with creative DXR3 and Hauppauge Nova-T cards.
