Usually one has to flash the drive's firmware with a cracked (third
party, voiding-your-warranty) version to turn it into an RPC-1 drive.

Unfortunately most drive manufacturers only provide DOS versions of their
proprietary flash utilities... but if you can hunt down the proper firmware
and flash program files I or somebody else on this list will probably be
happy to create a bootable floppy/CD image including those files for you.
