[vdr] Streaming over 802.11b

Hy,

 

Is there a way to get streaming to work over the 11Mbit (or less) WLAN provides ?

i've got around 530kbyte/s speed over wlan but that is not sufficient :(...

friends for example seemed to have a bitrate of 540kbyte/s (1gb/37/60 )

did anyone already experiment with this ?

is it possible to strip some data from the stream in a fast way ?

or perhaps a way to convince cygwin mplayer to fill its cache when its empty... (stuttering is very annoying but, a few pauses would be ok).
