Bernhard Wagner posted a patch for this in
http://www.linuxtv.org/mailinglists/vdr/2002/06-2002/msg00105.html,
but I never found the time to include it into my VDR source.

If somebody would adapt this to the latest version of VDR I can include
it in one of the next versions.

Note that since that patch the LIRC stuff has been moved from remote.c into
lirc.c.
