You will need a sound card, otherwise you wont have sound. AFAIK mp1e
encodes the Sound Stream Coming from the line out of the analogue TV
Card. (works here, so i dont ask silly questions, how ;-))

Is your Analogue Card loaded /before/ you load the DVB drivers?

look in the README for SID.
