[vdr] OT: software-patents

Hi,

this is off-topic and I don't like flooding MLs with
off-topics/politics, too. So I do apologize, but this also might harm our
VDR-project.

As VDR has become a great VCR-software and is distributed by SUSE, Debian and
will go into Mandrake, now, more and more people are interested in VDR.
That also means there'll be more commercial rivals.

On first of september the European Parliament will decide about patents
for logics/software and business-models. That acts could also be used to
suppress VDR and other opensource-projects by sueing their developers.
