Today there's no way I can tune bbc four

BBC FOUR;BSkyB:10773:hC56:S28.2E:22000:2331:2333=eng,2337=NAR:2332:0:6316:2:2045:0

other bbc channels are fine.
femon tells me that the signal is good, with a low (or zero) ber and no unc, but the video is at 0.3 Mbits/seconds. Yesterday it worked.
vdr gives a bazillion "ring buffer overflow" and when I try to switch to another channel "ERROR: thread 213002 won't end (waited 3 seconds) - cancelling it...".
Before someone asks, no, it's not vdr-1.3.17 specific, since it occurs the same with vdr-1.3.12, so maybe there's something wrong with this channel today?
However there's a difference: with vdr-1.3.12 I can switch to another channel and everything is fine, while with 1.3.17 I cannot (the screen stays black and/or vdr becomes unresponsive) and if I try to restart it will eventually hang until the watchdog timer kicks in.

That channel works just fine here, both directly on the primary
device (FF DVB-S) and via Transfer Mode.

The TPID is different here, though:

BBC FOUR;BSkyB:10773:hC56:S28.2E:22000:2333:2335=eng,2339=NAR:2334:0:6316:2:2045:0

but that shouldn't matter.

Oops, I just realized that you apparently have the wrong VPID and APID.
Try the values I've posted.

That are the pids for Cbeebies here

CBeebies;BSkyB:10773:hC56:S28.2E:22000:2333:2335=eng,2339=NAR:2334:0:6318:2:2045:0
(they should actually be the same channel, only transmitting at different times, but I've always had both lines in channels.conf with no problem until today).

Have you turned off updating PIDs?

No, I have UpdateChannels set to 4.
Anyway, now I deleted the "bbc four" entry and left only the "cbeebies" one. Let's see if it comes back but, why would vdr-1.3.12 recover gracefully and vdr-1.3.17 hang?
Are you using a plugin to implement the output device?
Some plugins are known to have serious trouble with the latest changes
to the thread handling.
