having now 1.3.17 (thread patched) for a several days (yes, I am a bit
late in progress), I can confirm that the sections.c point which I was
referring indeed does not help for my problem.  For 1.3.16 it helped,
but probably due to some butterfly effect and not by a proper way.
For 1.3.17, the problem (2nd card refuses to tune the way VDR expects
after an EPG scan) still persists.
