multiple soundtracks

Hi list. Since Klaus added the multiple sound stream feature i've not been able to use that for channels at Thor, mostly Canal+ distributed stuff. I have an example, Disney now have a new channel called Toon Disney. The channel autoadded itself to channels.conf and shows the following details: > Toon Disney;Telenor:11357:hC78:S1.0W:24500:521+8190:678=dan,679=fin,677=nor,676=sve:582:B00:3207:70:32:0 If I bring up tha audio menu it shows all four languages dan, fin, nor and sve. However if I choose either nor or sve the sound output becomes all silent. Could one kind soul please give me a hint how to start debug? BR /t

The attached file hangs vdr >= 1.3.25 when I press the info button on the recording. The file was created by and works fine with vdr < 1.3.25. Carsten. "Lola rennt" Fernsehfilm D 1998 Berlin. Jetzt. Ein Sommertag, an dem eine ganze kurze Zeit über Liebe, Leben und Tod entscheidet. Lola und Manni sind Anfang 20 und ein Liebespaar. Manni jobbt als Geldkurier für einen Autoschieber. Doch heute läuft alles schief. Als er Kontrolleuren in der U-Bahn zu entwischen versucht, vergisst er die Plastiktüte mit 100.000 Mark. Ein Penner greift sich die Tüte mit dem Geld und verschwindet. In 20 Minuten will sein Boss das Geld abholen. Verzweifelt ruft Manni Lola an. Was soll er tun? Wenn er das Geld nicht auftreibt, wird er sterben. Lolas Hirn rast: 20 Minuten, um 100.000 Mark zu besorgen. 20 Minuten, um Mannis Leben zu retten. Da kommt Lola eine Idee. Sie stürzt aus dem Haus und läuft los. Durch die Straßen Berlins. "Lola rennt." Um ihr Leben, um Mannis Leben, um ihre Liebe - und um irgendwie und irgendwo Geld aufzutreiben. Während Lola versucht, von ihrem Vater, einem Bankdirektor, das Geld zu bekommen, dreht Manni fast durch: In seiner Verzweiflung erscheint ihm der Überfall eines Supermarkts als die einzige Rettung. Als Lola bei Manni ankommt, ist es zu spät. Ernst zögert sie, dann hilft sie ihm bei dem Überfall. Doch als sie mit dem Geld abhauen wollen, zerreißen Sirenen die Sommerluft. Scharfschützen der Polizei umstellen den Supermarkt. Und dann fallen Schüsse... ...und mit dem scheinbaren Ende beginnt das eigentliche Abenteuer. Aspect Ratio problems

The majority of transmissions by my cable provider are 16:9 and I have this set in the DVB option, however we do get 4:3 transmissions and although the details are in the stream (as shown by femon) the picture remains as set in DVB option. My TV can detect different formats however the FF card always outputs 16:9 (as setup). Can vdr be made to switch the output based upon the stream rather than as setup in DVB option or does this have major implications? Thanks for all your hard work it really is appreciated. mplayer slave mute won't toggle

Hi y'all. I'm using the mplayer plugin with my Nova-t card, using gl2 output rather than mpegpes since the card doesn't have a video out. Everything works just fine with the mplayer slave, I can FF, REW, Pause, Stop, play and MUTE - but can't toggle the MUTE off. MUTE seems to mute the system sound and the only way I can un-mute is to open Volume Control on X and un-mute the PCM control. Mute works fine under VDR, it's just the mplayer slave that's not toggling off. Any ideas?

mp3 plugin - other image locations

Hi. I'd like to use the MP3 plugin to convert and play a random slideshow of my personal photos when switching tracks, rather than the usual cover/artist/background images. How can I do this? For the radio plugin I cron a bash script which randomly chooses a file to convert. This is also a bit hit and miss - but still better than NO SIGNAL, Black, or the same image over and over. Since the MP3 plugin caches images, I'd need to disable this. I could then randomly choose an image file and link it into the playlist root periodically. Any ideas?

... of a thread containing 43 replies on actually various problems, all belonging to the thread "[ANNOUNCE] VDR developer version 1.3.31"? Come on guys, it shouldn't be too difficult for people dealing with VDR to start a copmpletely new thread when one has an issue with a new version (replying and only changing the subject makes things only worse) instead of replying over and over again to a message which was intended as the subject says, an ANNOUNCEMENT. It's simply a pain to follow such a thread when the topic changes all over. Such a pity that it's not possible for the author of a message to check some flag preventing replies, I'm almost sure Klaus would have turned on such a switch on these anouncements. @Klaus: want to try including a notice in every such original announcement, asking people to start new threads with specific problems related to the new release? VDR developer version 1.3.31 is now available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.31.tar.bz2 A 'diff' against the previous version is available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.30-31.diff The changes since version 1.3.30: - Added missing German OSD texts for 'Audio language'. - The Setup/CICAM menu now only contains the devices that actually have a CI and dynamically detects the number of slots a CI provides. - Implemented cAudioRepacker for better handling of audio PES packets (thanks to Reinhard Nissl). - Modified handling of audio packets for radio channels in remux.c (thanks to Reinhard Nissl). - Updated the Danish OSD texts (thanks to Mogens Elneff). - Fixed the EPG scan, so that it doesn't use the primary device if that is currently in Transfer-Mode from itself (thanks to Marcus Hilbrich for a bug report that lead to this). - Removed the TUNER_LOCK_TIMEOUT in cDevice::AttachReceiver() since it caused more trouble than it fixed. - Fixed detecting short channel names for "Kabel Deutschland", who uses a comma as delimiter (thanks to Marco Schlüßler). - Moved cMenuEditTimer and cMenuEvent to menu.h so that plugins can use it (suggested by Thomas Günther). - The new static function cString::sprintf() can be used to easily create a formatted string. - Plugins can now implement their own SVDRP commands (based on a patch from Hardy Flor). See PLUGINS.html, section "SVDRP commands" for details. The SVDRP commands of a plugin are accessed through the new SVDRP command PLUG. See PLUGINS/src/svdrpdemo for an example of how to use this feature. - The new SVDRP command PLAY can be used to start replaying a recording (thanks to Hardy Flor). - The new SVDRP command EDIT can be used to start the editing process of a recording (based on the CUTR patch by Harald Milz). I'm gradually trying to tie up lose ends and make a stable version 1.4 now. Now before somebody asks: yes, I'm planning to implement the ability to call the main menu function of a plugin through a key macro, even if that plugin doesn't define a main menu entry; and it will also be possible to do so from an SVDRP connection. The maintainers of the various OSD language texts should please check VDR/i18n.c and send me any changes they find necessary. Have fun! Klaus

Hi, I have a problem with some D+ channels, that the second audio pid disappears after autopid. Usually if I want to see/record a movie with original track (not Spanish) I have to turn off autopid - although I'd like to keep it on for other channels. So, a feature to "lock" pids for a specific channel would be awesome. Or even better, why VDR doesn't find (actually loses) some pid's that are available. Hello, there is a new version of the pvrinput plugin available: http://home.arcor.de/andreas.regel/files/pvrinput/vdr-pvrinput-0.0.6.tgz Changes since 0.0.5: - Added setting of vbi teletext mode. Now it should work again with 0.2 and 0.3 drivers. - Removed dependency from libdvb from makefile. - Added a small OSD window for setting up the picture parameters (brightness, contrast, saturation, hue).
