demux fails in burn plugin

Hi, I recently installed the burn plugin but I have a problem. When I start the job I see: Job active (converting) [ No any (#). I have attached the dvd.log. No program information from disabled timers?

I noticed that in the timer menu, you cannot get information with the blue key about the program the timer is set to record, if the timer is disabled. Is there a reason that this nice feature works only for enabled timers or is this a bug? I tested with the gentoo-packaged 1.4.3 with aio+subtitles and vanilla 1.4.3, same behavior on both. Harri

A word about anonymity and VDR's CONTRIBUTORS file

In general I try to give proper credit to those who contribute to the VDR project by mentioning them in the HISTORY and CONTRIBUTORS files that come with the VDR source. However, I only list "real people" there, not things like "VDR User" or "Donald Duck". People who don't use their real name when posting or sending private email apparently don't want to be publicly identified, so I respect that. Previously in such cases I tried to contact these people and told them that in order to be listed in the CONTRIBUTORS file I would need their real name and email address. Since this only means additional work for me, I wont do this any more. So unless a posting or email has a (obvisously) real sender name and email address, I won't list anything I take from such a message in VDR's CONTRIBUTORS file. Just wanted to make this clear, so that nobody wonders why their contribution hasn't been given credit. Klaus

vdr-1.4.3-1.diff epg problems

I patched your vdr-1.4.3-1.diff against my vdr-1.4.3 version and since the epg guide and vdr-yaepg plugin show "no title" in th epg. Seems that there is an error there. However if I remove the patches to eit.c and eit.h but keep the rest of the patch the epg guide works like it should. Simultaneous streams with DVB-C USB (1.1)

Hello all! Recently added Technotrend TT Connect C-1200 USB device to vdr (1.4.3-1). All went fine, but one problem occurs. If switch channel during recording on same mux frequency, picture become disturbed (both: recorded and watched) due to limited USB DVB device bandwidth (from card spec: 7 Mbit/s). My questions are: -is it any possibility to not allow change channel during recording on USB device? -most important- how to force vdr switch to exactly timer-recording channel (even if it is on same mux frecuency)? As workaround I make 1 minute timer before actual recoding to different mux frequency, but it's nasty solution. Arthur

Multiple frontends on a single PCI card

Hi, Some background: I'm working on patches to add support for multiple frontends on a single adapter, in effect /dev/dvb/adapter0/fe{0,1,...} etc. A single transport bus service different types of demodulators. I've also been working on patches to add support for the WinTV-HVR1300 (single transport bus shared between a DVB-T demod and a cx23416 MPEG2 hardware encoder). Both sets of patches help resolve problems where two process open two different devices which share common hardware, and subsequently break each others streaming session. In order to guarantee that the hardware resources are allocated correctly (cx88 driver) and do not get reprogrammed on the fly by a separate process, the frontends now request hardware access and could cause open to fail on the frontend with -EBUSY. Now that the background is out of the way, how will VDR deal with a simple single PCI board with this configuration? /dev/dvb/adapter0/fe0 (dvb-t demod) /dev/dvb/adapter0/fe1 (dvb-s demod) <other regular dvb files here> ... where attempts to open multiple frontends will result in one of the open calls resulting in -EBUSY. ... or won't it? If it doesn't work, how would you like this to be implemented in the drivers, so that a better VDR solution can be built? Regards, Steve

VDRadmin-am-3.4.7 simple patch

Hullo, Andreas: great work on vdradmin-am, I use it daily, thanks. Attached is a small patch for something I find useful. It shows rec image in EPG titles that are already scheduled for recording so you don't accidentally timer them twice. I'm sure it could be done better by someone who knows what he's doing but it works for me.
