*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption

On occasion, when stopping VDR, I get the following error in my console: *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x081f33c0 *** This error has to do with installing the new version of glibc (2.3.6-5) with VDR. Has anyone else noticed this? BR.

Record Audio channels?

Is there a plugin that will allow me to record audio channels to mp3 or similar? It would be good too if it recognized 'silence' to start a new file. Norm

Can't connect to vdr (xine)

Hello, from time to time, I have the message : - xine engine error - There is no input plugin available to handle `vdr:/tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes`. Externalplayer and high CPU load

Hello I'm running vdr 1.3.44 with externalplayer 0.1.0 on a Celeron M @ 1.3 Ghz and a dxr3 card. It works OK, excepting the high cpu load. Issues with network vdr-xine 0.7.8 / stuttering, poor performance

Hi all, When I connect a xine-network client to vdr w/vdr-xine, the video stutters, frame rate is 2-5 FPS, video freezes for several seconds, there is 2-4 seconds of normal video (with normal audio) then it freezes and the whole process repeats. Network is 100 Mbps switched Ethernet with all machines using 100 Mbps Full-Duplex connections. I am not using any plug-ins other than xine (no EPG, etc, etc). All channels seem to operate the same way. I did modify VDR's FRAMESPERSEC and set it to 30 (for NTSC). Oddly, if I use xine on the vdr machine and launch it localhost, video is fine, audio is fine, I can change channels, etc! Everything seems to work well. I have tried two different clients, completely different hardware and Linux distros with same results. Xine-lib is compiled on all three machines identically, first RH's xine-lib patch applied, then the network patch. One machine is a K7 2800+ MP, GeForce Ti4600 w/nVidia drivers, etc. Second machine is a P3 700 MHz with S3 video. I also notice sometimes if I connect with the client, the host will report "wrong version", particularly, if the client was forced to disconnect quickly previously. pvr350 TV out not working with VDR

Hi, I am having problems installing PVR-350 as VDR output device. I have VDR 1.3.44 and vdr-pvr350 0.0.4pre1 plugin. I get only OSD information on my TV - no video nor audio. VDR works OK with softdevice and the PVR350 TV-out works with other software (I can even play VDR recordings using simply "cat <vdrfile> > /dev/video16". So HW seems to be working but something in my VDR installation is broken. Any ideas? Or has anyone succeeded with this combination? BR, Harri

Profiling a plugin?

Hi, I'd like to speed up some things in my plugin. So I just wondered if there is a way to profile a plugin. I tried to compile with "-pg" and checked the output with gprof, but it seems that gprof does not support libraries, because I only get information about vdr routines. Do you know any other tools, that allow profiling libraries/plugins? BR, Christian
