_x_lock_frontend in xine ?

Hello, since yesterday I try to use Xine with xine plugin and it always fails with : xine: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.3/xineplug_inp_vdr.so: undefined symbol: _x_lock_frontend What could it depends upon ? MP3/MPlayer plugin 0.9.15 available

Hi, a new version of the MP3/MPlayer plugin is available from my homepage. <http://www.muempf.de/down/vdr-mp3-0.9.15.tar.gz> NEWS: 21.09.2006: Version 0.9.15 development (vdr 1.4.1-4) - NOTE: This version has been tested with VDR 1.4.x only. It might be still compatible with VDR 1.2.x or 1.3.x, but this wasn't verified. - In MPlayer filebrowser you can display a summary text file with key "0". Filename convention: video filename extended with ".summary", e.g. "somefile.avi" -> "somefile.avi.summary". Summary files are not shown in the browsers filelist. (was in 0.9.14 already, but was missing in history) - Using ".txt" and ".nfo" as alternative extention for MPlayer summary file display. Suggested by Soeren Sonnenburg. - Additionaly searching for a MPlayer summary file with the video filename extention stripped of (e.g. "somefile.summary"). - Added SVDR and service support to MP3 and MPlayer plugin. Based on a patches provided by Olivier Jacques and Holger Brunn. - Added setup option to reverse title/artist display in MP3 plugin. - Added support for basic HTTP authorization in MP3 streaming. - Now passing correct name & path to VDR's status class during MPlayer playback. - Added commandline option to specify a subdirectory to load sources file from. Suggested by Ronny Kornexl. - Added commandline option to specify a directory for the global MPlayer resume file. Suggested by Ronny Kornexl. - Added -S option to ppmtoy4m call in example image convert script. Suggested by Thorsten Gehrig. - Replaced leftover usleep() calls. Thanks to Malte Schröder. - Moved cleanup of ID3 cache to a seperate thread to prevent watchdog timeout. It seems like the channels.conf + user-specified preferences is all that is needed to remove and keep unwanted channels out. Comments? CR.

recording sequenced movies

Hi, I have 2 cards in my vdr system. When I want to record sequenced movies from one channel, 2 different records are started and both cards are blocked. Is it possible to put in some intelligence for such occurences (putting both records just in one)? /uwe

Hi, I would like to suggest a feature for VDR: channel categories The idea (if it's not obvious from the name), given many of us deal with a lot of channels, it would be nice if we can put them into categories and have VDR, VDR's EPG and EPG viewers understand it. So if our basic channels.conf lists the channels, perhaps a channel_category.conf breaks those down into user defined categories (i.e. "Local Channels", "Sports", "Favorites", etc). It seems most other TV viewing programs (DVB, analog, whatever) supports this capability and I find it most useful, especially the "Favorites" as I normally I like to watch a subset of channels I can get. Having a seperate file to maintain categories seems like it wouldn't break existing EPG and/or VDR code. Maybe VDR could provide an option to flip between "raw" channels.conf and "categorized" channels. I know there are other features planned and bugs to fix...maybe this can be added to the planned features list. Regards, CR.

Switching to 'mono right' or 'mono left' does not work here

Hi all, I'm using vdr-1.4.1 together with the xine plugin and the network patch. One of the new features of 1.4 is the capability to choose the right language via the 'Left' or 'Right' key if e.g. the broadcaster sends two different languages in the left/right channel of a stereo signal. This does not work in my configuration. The Left/Right key switches the symbolic "speakers" in the audio menue, but the output still contains both languages in the left and right channel.
