Configuring vdr-sxfe

Is there a way of configuring vdr-sxfe with a xine config file? For example, although I can select an audio driver on the command line I think libxine needs a config file to select the output device. I found ~/.xine/config_xineliboutput but it's no use editing it because vdr-sxfe overwrites it with its defaults. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk

I spent several hours yesterday trying to get this going. However there are so many patches around that whilst I was able to get it to compile and run I was unable to get it into the state I wanted with plugins etc. I think Goga77 has posted something somewhere but I couldn't find it and in any case things seem to be a bit out of control with patches flying all over the place. Sorry I can't help but at least you know you're not the only one. Mike

Twinhan 1041 card (stb0899) - femon 1.6.2 gives no signal info

Hi, Anyone with stb0899 (Twinhan 1041, TT3200) card can see signal info using femon? Currently it shows no signal info at all. I previously used Twinhan 1034 card and femon wasn't working properly as well. I use Igor's S2API drivers. Thanks.

VDR 1.7.1 + xine = memory leak?

Hi all, I think there is a memory leak with xine as output device (I have version 0.8.2). Watching the same channel for 15 minutes rises memory usage of VDR process from 10MB to about 200! Switching channel free that memory. I've tried to do the same with streamdev and the memory stays on 10MB level, so I have a feeling its related to xine. If someone have similar setup, please test it on your machine and share results. Thanks.

Windows remote client

Please use the multiproto drivers from manu and vdr 1.7.0 and patches . incl streamdev. For windows vdr zapper for remote controle and EPG. The client it self is MPC Media Player classic. 6.4.9.0. Do not use newer versions they are not compatible. Gabest mpreg splitter doesn?t recognize 1080I streams any more. The best quatility can get with coreavc(HDTV and powerdvd/SD decoders. JP

VDR + extension HD, mediaplayer

I'm succesfully running VDR-1.7.0 + Extension HD-card I would like to get a mediaplayer ( as mplayer plugin ) working but I'm not sure how to accomplish this. The reelbox checkout contains filebrowser and erfplayer which I can compile and add to my startup script. This is not enough to get the mediaplayer functionaity and here I'm stuck. I can't find any info on how it's supposed to interact with vdr. In my logs it refers to xine, but how should this install look like. Anybody? Sincerely, /Per

Two different types of DVB card

Can VDR handle two different types of DVB card at once? I've got two different makes of DVB-T card at the moment, which is fine because they share one channels.conf, but I'm thinking of replacing one with DVB-S for HD. Can VDR assign a different channels.conf to each card and merge the channels list for the EPG? -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk

Hi guys. Need some help getting VDR-1.7.1 working with s2api v4l and h264. Can someone please direct me to the necessary patches? Btw, I don't want to use any kind of 'super-patch' with a million different patches compiled into one big one.. Just vanilla VDR 1.7.1 with s2api and h264 only if possible. Thanks! Ps to Klaus: What is the timeline for h264 support finally being included in vanilla VDR?
