PLaying video with xineliboutput Media Player

Grabbed testclip of shuttle takeoff, 1920x1080 resolution VDR log shows --- Jul 17 17:45:28 vdr3 vdr: [5831] [xine..put] cPlaylist::EscapeMrl('/video/ksc_062707_sts117_launch_1080i.mpg') Jul 17 17:45:28 vdr3 vdr: [5831] [xine..put] --> '/video/ksc_062707_sts117_launch_1080i.mpg' Jul 17 17:45:28 vdr3 vdr: [5831] [input_vdr] PLAYFILE (Loop: 0, Offset: 0s, File: goom:width=720,height=576,fps=25 file:/video/ksc_062707_sts117_launch_1080i.mpg) --- Does this mean that Media Player rapes the wideo to 720x576 resolution and then stuffes it to display. How to force FullHD resolution ?

It looks like if xine-lib is using the internal ffmpeg viewer. why I can't watch the H.264 channel with vdr-1.7.0+H.264?

I have compiled the vdr-1.7.0+H.264+xine-lib-1.2+xineliboutput-1.0.1. But when I run it and select the H.264 channel. There is no image on the screen, But I can hear the audio. I can watch the mpeg-2 channes. MY VDR: debian lenny+multiproto+vdr-1.7.0+H.264+xine-lib-1.2+xineliboutput-1.0.1 MY vdr is running on xorg without KDE. why I can't watch the H.264 channel? Trying to google for manual, info or article where all parameters for xine tvtime command are explained, what they do, why, etc. No luck yet, any pointers ??

Which DVB-S Card to buy in Germany

Hi, I have here an old VDR system running and my DVB-S cards are stopping to work now (VDR 1.6 and 2xDVB-S cards). It starts with a lot of distortions and then they stops to record completely. I have only 0 minute records for my new timers. In the log file I have: Jul 6 14:25:24 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken Jul 6 14:25:31 video vdr: [19846] ERROR: video data stream broken Jul 6 14:25:55 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken Jul 6 14:26:02 video vdr: [19846] ERROR: video data stream broken Jul 6 14:26:26 video vdr: [10063] ERROR: video data stream broken If VDR records on the second DVB card everything is fine. I'm quite sure that this a hardware issue. The cards I habe installed currently are: 02:07.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01) 02:09.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01) Which are good cards to replace them? Forcing channel to device

I'm trying to force one DVB-T channel on VHF to particular card. I have three DVB-T cards in system, only card 2 is capable to tune to VHF frequency, so I want to set this channel to use allways card 2, I did set CA value in channel.conf to 2 but still it chooses other cards. What's up duck....

Hi, I can't use xineliboutput for my new vdr box using fglrx driver and xv-out. It is unstable and often crashs after switching channels etc. My graphicsadapter is an onboard rs690 based radeon x1200. Softdevice works stable but I want to use xineliboutput and its mediaplayer features. Thanks Halim

Vdr-xine OSD question

I am running vdr + vdr-xine plugin + coreavc + xine being output at 1080i to an HDTV as the only display. Is there a simple way to lock the OSD to the resolution of the output device such that the OSD is not rescaled when switching between SD and HD sources? I played with X-overlay, but that was not what I was after. If not, could it be done in the source somewhere or is the OSD anti-aliased and overlayed on the video before being sent to the output device (xine, in my case)? I've looked around quite a bit on the net but I guess my google-foo is failing me on this one. I just miss the rock-solid OSD of the FF card setup... Thanks!
