First of all the card is not "card=26" but "card=50" if it is really
a Pinnacle PCTV 300i card.

To scan for analog channnels try the following:

scantv -o ~/.xawtv -n PAL -f europe-west -C /dev/vbi0 -c /dev/video0

and then try to run xawtv to see any analog channels it may have found.

Seems OK to me as well, but the Pinnacle PCTV 300i is a dual mode card,
as it is capable to show digital TV as well as analog TV.

Maybe you'd like to have a look at http://de.gentoo-wiki.com/Pinnacle_300i
or at http://www.puuhis.net/htpc/ to find some advice on how to make the
card usable.
