Hi folks,

I had acquired Geniatech Mygica S2870 usb for digital TV. Installed the latest dvb drivers from http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git .
However, it doesn't seem to load the drivers when plugged in. No /dev/dvb devices are created.
Below is the output I get when plugging in, which shows no module is loaded:

[ 198.762635] usb 3-2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
[ 198.779253] usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=10b8, idProduct=1faa
[ 198.779261] usb 3-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 198.779265] usb 3-2: Product: STK8096-PVR
[ 198.779267] usb 3-2: Manufacturer: Geniatech
[ 198.779270] usb 3-2: SerialNumber: 1

Same issue was reported here

Do you have any update if this device would work, and how?

I'm on Ubuntu with linux kernel 3.13.0-53-generic.

Thanks in advance,
Luciano
