External Displays are alternative display devices, ie. LC-Displays (LCD).

On external Displays usually channel informations and similar are shown, as you see while changing the channel on OSD inside the TV image, may be channel name, Logo, name of current event, etc.

THerefore, one can use VDR without TV, program timers or see music titles.

There are different types of displays:

• Alphanumeric LC-Displays
• Vacuum-Fluorescent-Displays
• Graphic LC-Displays
• Touch TFT-Displays
