LifeView

The LifeView company are not at all Linux friendly and you should avoid buying their DVB-T devices unless you have no alternative. LifeView supports only Windows and, in the case of the LifeView TV Walker Twin, they even refuse to support the device under Windows Vista.

In contrast, their analog TV devices are typically well-supported; see supported bttv devices and saa713x devices.

Devices (an incomplete listing)

Supported:

  • LifeView LR534 Mini PCI-e (driver is the same as for the TV Walker Twin above)

Not supported:

  • TV Walker Q Plus
  • TV Walker P Plus
  • TV Walker QQ

etc ...

If you have one of these devices then send an email to the mailing list at <linux-dvb@linuxtv.org> and support can probably be added fairly quickly.
