Overview:
TBS8520 is a professional hardware transcoding server, which is designed to be a highly scalable, easy to use and a cost effective IPTV headend server for developers and businesses to transcode (or convert) media files from their source format into the best-possible-quality streams to each user's specific device.
TBS8520 IPTV transcoder is equipped with 2 PCI express slots, which make it to be a flexible transcoder supporting IP, RF, HDMI or ASI inputs with kinds of TBS tuner card and capture card.
With Two Giga Ethernet Ports, TBS8520 IPTV transcoder supports to transcode up to 80 SD or 30 Full HD streams simultaneously.

Transcode the Live TV streams or IP streams from high bitrate to low bitrate that realize huge savings in the onsite bandwidth

Nowadays there is still a lot of customers with legacy STBs capable of receiving only MPEG-2 streams with a high signal quality sensitivity. CATV providers will have to use transcoder to convert modern H.264 streams to MPEG-2 appropriate for those STBs.
