Currently, only the Conexant CX23885 IC family has published drivers from LinuxTV.

A PCIe interface chipset is a bridge between the DVB device's receivers (and A/V inputs) and the host computer's PCIe "bus" (which really isn't a traditional bus, but rather a point to point serial connect lane(s)).

Possible PCIe bridges that can be used include:

  • ATI Theater 550
  • ATI Theater 650
  • Conexant CX23885/6/7/8
  • Micronas APB 7202A nGene dual-channel PCI-Express multimedia controller
  • Philips SAA7162 (dual A/V decoder) and SAA7160/SAA7161 (multimedia A/V bridge)

Currently, only the Conexant CX23885 IC family has published drivers from LinuxTV.
