Although bearing the same "SkyStar 1" name, this device, as can be seen in the picture on its product page, definitely differs from the [[TechniSat SkyStar 1|TechniSat SkyStar 1(ff rev1.5, tt2000.8)]] model. In fact, it appears that the SkyStar 1 CI is a clone of the [[Twinhan VP-1030A]].

A DVB-S PCI card by TechniSat.

It is supported under Linux.

Overview/Features

Despite bearing largely the same name, the SkyStar 1 CI device definitely differs from the SkyStar 1. In fact, the "SkyStar 1" is a "full-featured" Rev. 1.5 card whereas the SkyStar 1 CI is a software decoding card and, specifically, appears to be a clone of the Twinhan VP-1030A.
