[linux-dvb] dvb configuration for Sirius 2

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a Technotrend PCI card on debian to use satellite internet
on Sirius 2. The dish is properly setup, and I got everything working on
Windows NT. Now I want to move the thing to linux for various reasons, and am
stuck. What I have done is the following:
- Downloaded the DVB drivers from linuxtv.org and installed them. The card is
detected and works (syslog states "dvb: 1 dvb(s) found!").
- Downloaded and installed dvbd 2 from linuxtv.org. It seems to work, but the
sync only reaches up to 7, which, from my understanding, is not a good signal
at all.

I've tried configuring /etc/dvbd.conf to reflect the same settings I had on
the windows software, but I still only reach 7 maximum sync.

The settings in windows are as follows:
Frequency(khz): 12111000
Symbol rate (sb/s): 27195000
Polarization: H
LNB Power: on
Unicast PID: 201(hex)
Broadcast PID: 201(hex)
Multicast PID: 201(hex)
DisEqC: None
LOF 1: 9750000
Switch: 11700000
LOF 2: 10600000

Those are all the settings I could see being edited. Please note that I don't
quite understand what most of these settings do.

Just for reference, here is some sample output from dvbd:
Fsync = 0, Freq = 1511000000, Sync = 3 Afc = 424921 Agc = 271 Nest = 30208
Vber = 1048575

Agc and Nest are constantly changing. Sync sometimes changes to 7. All others
are static.

Any help would be appreciated.
