Maybe, if it is possible. I have downloaded a package that is
called "dvbrouter". But there is not much documentation with
it. If you install the DVB-S card in windows, it is running as
a virtual network card with 40Mbit, so the data from the card
is comming as a TCP/IP data. You only have to receive and display
it (as far as I understand this matter).

The vdr machine is only a K6-2/350 (but this ougth to be enough
power). My other machine (client) is a PII-350.

If I use a separate DVB-card on the client machine I will need an
other active DVB-S card (for a DVB-Nova card the machine is too slow,
should >PIII-500 for decoding).

So maybe it is possible to put the data from the DVB-card on the
net and use a thin client to display the data (maybe even a hacked
version of the original Hauppauge software).

At the momemt I only have an eight port 100Mbit hub. But with
only 2 computers on the net I think it should work too.
