[linux-dvb] Re: Videotext on various output types



Teletext has nothing to do with the Colour TV.
That means on a Y/C connection he must be on Y (luminance signal)
Here is a simple trick to see if it's tv fault or PC-DVB card:
If your TV set has V-HOLD adjustment just desync a little on V and have a
look in
Vertical Blanking Interval (VBI) while feeding  the tv set Y/C and also
teletext.
If you see some white dots  moving randomly on several lines from VBI that
means your TV set
cannot handle ttx on Y/C. If you dont see anything like white dots (or even
discontinous white line)
that means your card dont output ttx on Y/C.
