I currently don't have a SuSE kernel source tree to look at but if the
kernel version is labeled "2.4.4-64GB-SMP" they most likely defined
EXTRAVERSION in the top-level Makefile. Just comment out the line and
recompile everything (make bzImage; make modules; make modules_install).
