[linux-dvb] Re: Antwort: VDR and AC3 out via SB live

Okay, that was it :-)

Now it begins to become clearer...

First i like to say, that it seems to me that NOT ALWAYS the DD audio is
Recorded :-(
e.g. yesterdays "Fled - Flucht...." or something sould have had DD5.1 or at
least the "normal" DD2.0, but the recorded files contain no "dolby"
according to xlist !
Other recordings from yesterday contain DD2.0 - which in fact can be
extracted by -a 'cat > test.ac3'
However the play-ac3 from the emu10k1 driver kit won't work with this :-( if
i do this with the cat command and later on use play-ac3 test.ac3 ist works
!
but using "play-ac3 -" to make play-ac3 read from stdin doesnt work :-(
Okay, i'll check the ALSA drivers these days...

But why isn't the DD stream not recorded all the time ?

My /var/log/messages says:
Jul 14 22:18:34 linux vdr[657]: switching to channel 7
Jul 14 22:19:34 linux vdr[657]: timer 4 start

Jul 14 22:19:35 linux vdr[1038]: input thread started (pid=1038)

I think it's the seventh line showing the error causing this ?
What has happened ?

Martin.
