I have noticed something similar. Suddenly the now and next info, when I
switch channels, is blank. This is the log for one channel switch:

ERROR (dvbapi.c,2089): Device or resource busy
ERROR: failed to set PIDs for channel 53
retrying
ERROR (dvbapi.c,2089): Device or resource busy
ERROR: failed to set PIDs for channel 53
retrying
ERROR (dvbapi.c,2089): Device or resource busy
ERROR: failed to set PIDs for channel 53
retrying
LIRC remote control thread started (pid=5012)

This repeats for every channel switch, the only "cure" is to
load the driver again.

The strange thing here is that the channels show up on my TV just fine (with
out
now and next info). If I look at the schedule menu, I have both now and next
info there.
