[linux-dvb] transcode vdr files to DivX

Hi,

I need to transcode my vdr files to DivX format, and have attempted to use
mpeg2divx to do this.

After several frustrating nights trying to get all the dependancies to
compile correctly, I am sooo close, but still unable to use mpeg2divx at
all.

My question is: Has anyone gotten mpeg2divx to work on RH 7.1, and what
steps were necessary?  I have downloaded CVS of avifile, CVS of libmpeg3,
0.10 and 0.9 of mpeg2divx. Do I need to look at upgrading compiler? I have
whatever came with RH 7.1

Also, is there a simpler alternative to mpeg2divx that doesn't take all this
messing around to get it usable?
