Sorry for not giving you the whole story. Currently, (P1-133 machine), using 
the old (i.e. before NEWSTRUCT) drivers and vdr-1.0.4, I can record a channel 
on card 2, while playing back a recording on card 1, at < 30-50% CPU. 

With the new setup, I can not even record 1 channel without things getting out 
of hand (i.e. too high CPU usage). 

So I am looking for the culprit basically :-)

I don't need to record every channel on every transponder, or things like 
that, but it would be nice (and should be possible?) to have both cards 
record something, while the primary card can play back a recording at the 
same time. That would be a perfect match for the limited channels and 
prime-time scheduling here.
