Basically the LinuxTV driver should work as well, so if someone of the 
KNC1 owners could please test it and try do narrow down bugs if there 
are some please report.

xawtv can't (yet?) tune DVB cards. You have to use an external program 
to tune, e.g. szap, dvbtune or VDR.
