I wrote some scripts to work with dvbstream:

schedule - allows to schedule a recording (uses at, but checks that the 
parameters are ok)
record - records  a pid right now
tune - tunes to a named channel (PS output)
tune-ts - tunes to a named channel (TS output)
tune-radio - tunes a radio station (uses mpg123 I think)
