I notice this modified quite a bit very recently.

It might be worthwhile getting a slightly older version from cvs
and seeing if this works.

One thing is a #pragma pack(1) versus same effect in
makefile.

Other things seem to be mostly cosmetic but you can't be sure.

I don't think it is likely to be in bttv, although this
is possible.

setting hw_i2c=1 (check exact details) on the bttv load will
use a different i2c algorithm.
