I kind of agree, and the quality of the DVB output is WAY higher on a
standard tv set than that of a normal graphics card.

However, once you start looking at plasma sets and projectors, then the
graphics card's VGA output (or DVI) starts to look like a less limiting
output device.  Granted the average user is probably still using a classical
TV, but I think VGA output to a Plasma is where the high end enthusiast is
going these days.

Taking a step back, why would I as a low end consumer actually want a DVB
card and PC at all?  Sky will sell you a digi box that does all this in a
rather neat way, and for probably less money than the DVB card itself.....!
(at least in the UK)  I would anticipate that a growing proportion of users
who actually go to the effort of building their own media PC box are going
to want to use them with high end output devices like plasma.  It may be
small today, but by even next year it could be quite significant.

Just a thought.
