What version of the Windows Driver are you using?

The values that you found looks like the values after a reset. The reset can be done by software or a power on reset. It's possible to reset individual blocks inside the Flexcop chip, in software.

The "key" isn't used by the Linux software.

The Windows driver has a "default" MAC address, in case there is a problem reading the EEPROM. Is it possible that you have a problem with the EEPROM?

Sorry, but I didn't understand what you're trying to do.

In Niklas code, you need to make sure you use the op==2 for the filter_enable_data_filter. I didn't test or check the rest of the code yet.
