[linux-dvb] composite video on avermedia

Hi all

I've been tring to get xawtv to use the composite input of my avermedia card. 
Under mandrake the card is recognized as an anolgue card and xawtv does give a 
very garbled image when I use it for this purpose. Is there a way to get a cleaner 
image? Is there a better application for this?
