I really can't say; with the ZetaCAM, Robert was able to do the equivalent of 
all the same stuff, but it failed in the link initialisation as well.

If you're willing to give it a go under windows thats great! No problems about 
having to wait a few days.

Er, weird! That status is printed just after the comms interface is reset. And 
its showing both a READ and a WRITE transfer error.... no data has been 
transferred at that point...
