Well, if dvbscan goes into an endless loop it is a bug (probably
already fixed in CVS).

In the long run DVB-T scanning could get more complicated. If you
have more than one transmitter in range (unavoidable once larger
areas are covered) dvbscan should be able to select the best one
automatically. And there are even plans for mobile reception
with seamless handover from one transmitter to the next...
(I think there are some white papers on dvb.org if someone is
interested.)
