[linux-dvb] Success: No SOutCommand errors, no ARM crashes anymore...
Since I purchased a Nexus-S in August 2003, SOutCommand erros and ARM crashes
or similar hit me almost regularely once a day. This kept going on through
different driver, application and kernel versions, even with completely
different hardware and Sat-wiring (except the DVB-card kept the same).
Now, this has changed completely, the driver runs for SIX DAYS now, without
any glitch, it runs perfectly!!
The change occured after a switch to current CVS driver and current vanilla
kernel (details see below).
In the first place, I want to thank all developers for the hard work they put
into the driver and DVB software! This is really amazing!
Here's my current and stable setup:
hardware: Hauppauge Nexus-S, rev. 2.1, frontend stv0299 (BSRU6, TDQB-S00x)
driver: CVS version from 18.04.2004 (not current kernel)
kernel: vanilla 2.4.26, patches: libsata, fcdsl
dvb-app: vdr 1.3.6, remote plugin, no patches
Thanks again, keep up the excellent work!
Regards,
Joerg
