Can you try the latest CVS, I've just checked in a trivial change that 
should make dvbtext work with the current drivers.

It's controlled by the NEWSTRUCT variable in the Makefile, which 
defaults to "1" - i.e. /dev/dvb/*

Please let me know if it works, I haven't tested it.
