Some day ago I brought a Hauppauge NOVA-T card only to find out that
this seems to be a completely redesinged model. It uses a Conexant
chipset.
Do you have a (hi-res) picture of the card, or can you possibly make one
and post it? I'd like to see what chips are on the card, and what the card
looks like. Failing that, could you at least note what the tuner tin box
and the major chips on the card are?
Please have a look at http://sulu.sohanet.de/tmp/. I'll try to add better/sharper pictures later this evening. The tuner has an antenna in/out connector. Underneath the WinTV logo on the tuner box I found:
Thomson C2
DIT 7592
21311100
42020132465

The smaller IC in the upper right corner has this text on it:
CONEXANT
DVB-T 2K/8K
CX22702-25
FF6122.2
0419 PHILIPPINES

The larger IC in the lower right corner has this text on it:
CONEXANT
BROADCAST DECODER
CX23882-19
FC9032.3
0404 KOREA

03:02.2 Multimedia controller: Conexant: Unknown device 8802 (rev 05)
This is probably the "Transport Stream" function of the CX2388x.

03:02.4 Multimedia controller: Conexant: Unknown device 8804 (rev 05)
And this is probably the IR function. Does the card have an infrared port?
Yes, a remote control unit and an IR receiver cable were included in the box.

BTW: The Windows software (WinTV 2000) now looks exactly like the version for the WinTV PCI analog TV cards.

Best regards.
