I manually edited the video4linux Makefile to enable build of cx88-dvb,
and now I can finally use the card! 

Just curious; are the new nova-t 90002 supposed to be technical superior
to the tda1004x ones? The only advantage I can find is the arial out
making it easier to daisy chain cards, but the signal output of the
90002 sometimes gives dropouts when tuning into a signal with the old
one.
