[linux-dvb] adapter failed MAC signature check

I modified as suggested by Christian Cier-Zniewski budget.c (in the build-2.6 directory of a fresh CVS version of the drivers).
After ./insmod.sh load I get these messages:

root@cartesio:/home/filippo/dvb/dvb-kernel/build-2.6# dmesg -c
i2c-core: driver dvbfe_l64781 registered.
saa7146: register extension 'dvb'.

i2c_adapter i2c-0: registered as adapter #0
i2c_adapter i2c-0: master_xfer: with 2 msgs.
adapter failed MAC signature check
encoded MAC from EEPROM was ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
saa7146: register extension 'budget_ci dvb'.
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb /w video in'.

I tried using the firmware (TDA10046) from the cvs and also looked in the Terratec cd for a firmware DLL, but I still get the same error and nothing works. If I try dvbtune I get FRONTEND: no such devide.

Can somebody please tell me something about this error? Find a couple of archived posts regarding dvb-s, but couldn't sort it out.

Thanx,

Filippo
