[linux-dvb] Couldn't read from EEPROM: not there?
Hello,
I am trying to compile the build-2.4 version of the 1.1.1 driver (from the
downloads area of linuxtv.org) against kernel version 2.4.27. Everything
builds ok but when I do an insmod.sh load I get this message in dmesg:
"""
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
Couldn't read from EEPROM: not there?
"""
I have the version 2.15a of the ttlcdacc.dll in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware as
tda1004x.bin.
lspci -v gives this:
"""
0000:00:14.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
Subsystem: Technotrend Systemtechnik GmbH Technotrend-Budget / Hauppauge
WinTV-NOVA-T DVB card
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
Memory at de003000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512]
"""
I'm stuck as to what to check next. Does anybody have any ideas?
I've noticed the IRQ5 is also used by the firewire and usb controllers (it's a
via ME6000 M/B). Not sure if this should be a problem or indeed how I could
change the IRQ of the card.
Cheers,
Emlyn.
