[linux-dvb] anyone compiled a working static kernel ?

Hey all

has anyone managed to compile a kernel with DVB support that is just static ?
(so you can not load modules)

I have a wintv conexant based card and try the static kernel (compile
all modules in) I get kernel panic's

mythtv looks like it might be gaining DVB support by the end of the
week so it would be nice to have this working
