[vdr] MPlayer+DXR3 and VDR integration

Hello,

I am trying to find the best way to replay VDR files while recording.
But i am short of PCI slots.

To be prepared for AC3 (maybe soon on French Canal+) i need a sound
card.
To do timeshifting i need another DVB Card
But i don't have enough slots on my motherboard.
(Ethernet,HD ctrl, ISDN, etc.)

I know Stephan Muempf has done a great job integrating MPlayer with VDR.
But AFAIK it is used to replay VCD/DIVX using DVBs Card.


What about replaying with VDR  OSD with MPlayer through a DXR3/H+ Board
?
I know one would need 2 video connections.
But this way, i could have 1 card with Video and AC3 playback and it is
rather cheap.

Has anyone tried replaying VDR files using MPlayer and DXR3 ?

Another idea would be to use RVB/YUV output from H+ Card (the one with
ADV7175 chip)
for those who have only rev 2.1 card.

the best would be to have complete VDR and H+ integration using OSD on
H+ card (it is time for best whishes ;-) )
