Hi list,
i've got a strange problem with the DVB-driver and vdr.
With a "make insmod" in the driver directory everything works perfect,
but loading the driver by modules.conf doesn't work:
Mar 7 20:15:53 vdr vdr[402]: ERROR: channel 2 not sync'ed on DVB card 2!
Mar 7 20:15:53 vdr vdr[402]: panic level: 0
Mar 7 20:15:53 vdr vdr[402]: retrying
Mar 7 20:15:55 vdr vdr[402]: ERROR: channel 2 not sync'ed on DVB card 2!
Mar 7 20:15:55 vdr vdr[402]: panic level: 1
Mar 7 20:15:55 vdr vdr[402]: retrying
Mar 7 20:15:58 vdr vdr[402]: ERROR: channel 2 not sync'ed on DVB card 2!
Mar 7 20:15:58 vdr vdr[402]: panic level: 2
Mar 7 20:15:58 vdr vdr[402]: retrying
In my modules.conf I'm using the the entries from the driver directory:
alias char-major-250 dvb
options dvb init_chan=2 pids_off=0
below saa7146_core VES1893 VES1820 L64781 stv0299 tuner
below dvb saa7146_v4l
I did a "make install" in the driver directory and copied "Dpram" and
"Root" to /lib/modules/misc.
The problem is reproduceable with several kernel versions.
I'm using 2.4.8-pre4 at the moment.
Is anybody using the modules.conf, too? Does it work?
regards
Stefan
