Sounds very interesting. We could show a generic VDR-picture if we are
in a standard menu or an MP3-picture if in MP3 menu.
Maybe some overview picture of a specific series (eg. a Voyager picture
if we are in the Voyager recordings directory).
An idea i mentioned some months ago was to load a picture found in the
apropriate dir (eg. image.jpg.vdr) and display it. If there's no picture
then we display a standard pic defineable in setup menu...

Just my thoughts.
