Problem solved.  I changed keys-pc.conf so that the function, arrow,
home and end keys are replaced with character keys.  All is working fine
:)

PS I can highly recommend the MouseRemote as an easy to use solution
(once you've written a program to interface between it and VDR).  All
you have to do is plug it into the serial port.  And it works through
walls :)
